Pret A Manger 45th St - New York City

Pret's just value for money, especially compared to Starbucks. Free oat milk subs and their savoury food is healthy and tasty.

We dined in at Pret, our go-to spot for a fast sandwich and coffee. Unfortunately, many Pret a Manger locations have closed down recently. We were happy to finally find one, but were disappointed to find that the almond croissants were not as crispy as we remembered, the coffee was cold, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The sandwiches were fresh and decent, but overall, it's no longer our favorite spot.

The staff at this restaurant was extremely rude! This was my first time ever purchasing food from Pret and it will definitely be my last time at this location. I ordered a salad, a drink, and chips, but the chips turned out to be expired by a week. When I went to pay, the cashier had an attitude about me using cash. She made all the customers who had ordered drinks move to the side and then loudly asked me what type of milk I preferred, instead of asking me when I originally placed my order. When I answered her clearly, she asked me again, and then mumbled for me to speak up. I was so upset and uncomfortable at that point that I didn't even want to ask for a fork or straw, feeling embarrassed. I ended up having to go to Starbucks down the block to ask for utensils, which they kindly provided. I decided to eat my food outside in the nearby park, as the atmosphere inside the restaurant was unwelcoming. Next time, I would much rather go to the other Pret location down the block. Needed a super quick lunch before a 2pm show lines at Cava and other assembly line type places had lines out the door and Pret came through in the clutch!! Delicious premade wraps in the heart of Times Square.

What I got was a falafel and veggie sandwich. it was good, but only once to eat. they had all that vegan labeled vegan all their pastries are not vegan they had a suppe that was vegan but I could not try.
