Contribuiți la feedbackI highly recommend trying the lunch menu at this restaurant. While the portions may be smaller than the regular a la carte menu, it's a great way to sample a variety of flavors. Don't miss out on the delicious warm bread they serve. The standout dishes for me were the perfectly cooked medium rare NY strip steak and the decadent cheesecake.
From the moment we entered Morton's Steakhouse in NYC, we knew we were in for a special experience. As visitors from California, we were greeted with the warm hospitality that New Yorkers are known for. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming vibe from the get-go. Our server for the evening, Sarah, was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Working behind the bar, she not only mixed perfect cocktails but also made sure our meals were prepared to our liking. Every dish was a delight, from the expertly seared steaks to the tasty sides that complemented them perfectly. It's rare to come across food that is prepared with such precision and care! The service manager, Colby Nighland, deserves recognition for his part in making our experience so enjoyable. His attention to detail and commitment to customer service truly set Morton's apart from other dining establishments we've visited.
The dining ambiance is excellent, with attentive service. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium-rare and delicious. The side dishes of mashed potatoes and spinach were a great complement. I also had a small 6.8 oz ginger ale. For dessert, I indulged in a New York cheesecake and a coffee. Overall, the meals were very enjoyable.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic. I ordered the Tomahawk and Pork Chops, along with the onion soup, and it was all delicious. The service provided by the host and server, Alejandra, was excellent. The restaurant is spacious with two floors, plenty of seating, great music, and a wide selection of drinks. I will definitely return when I'm in town again!
Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's in a tourist trafficked area. Yes, it's pricey. And: yes. Morton's does an excellent steak. I booked an early birthday dinner for myself on a Saturday evening. Being in the Financial District on a Saturday, I wasn't entirely surprised to see a lack of crowds, though I was the only diner on the first floor. My steakhouse order doesn't change much: shrimp cocktail steak mushrooms whiskey drink. The shrimp cocktail here had some of the largest shrimp I've seen, served with some properly zippy cocktail sauce. While ribeye is my go to cut, I went with a dry aged strip instead. It was done a perfect medium rare but a little too charred on the edges. The accompanying side of spinach and mushrooms added a nice flavour contrast but was in need of some other seasoning. And the whiskey drink? A fine Manhattan with Woodford Reserve sweet vermouth cherries orange peel ...steak. It may seem gimmicky to garnish a cocktail with a small piece of prime beef, but it works.
