Laughing Man - New York City

I really wanted to give more stars, but unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. I would rate the coffee and food at 4.5 stars, but the service was just a 1. It was quite rude, and I think they need to invest some effort into training their staff. I will return for the coffee, hoping that the service will improve next time. By the way, no one asked us to show our vaccination certificates even though we dined indoors.

This cafe is small and cute. I loved the green exterior which definitely stood out as you walked by. I had the Matcha spiced latte with their homemade marshmallow. The drink sounds weird, but the combination of flavors paired beautifully. You can skip on the marshmallow, which was way too sweet.

Laughing Man is a charitable brand founded by Hugh Jackman, which is how I discovered it. I tried their oat latte, and it was fantastic—rich in coffee flavor, beautifully prepared, and adorned with lovely latte art! The space is small but is set to expand into a sit-down area soon. I wish I had known more about their signature lattes, as they were somewhat hidden on a separate menu to the right. Overall, I would definitely return for another cup. It's also worth mentioning that this brand is fair trade and eco-friendly. As a designer, I appreciate the ridges on the cups; they're sturdy and help reduce waste.

Perfectly brewed and has a good aroma. Loved their coffee. Surely I'd like to come back.
