City Beer - New York City

Great craft brew bar. They have a bunch of beers on tap, but they have even more in cans and bottles. This place is excellent for trying new craft beers that are made locally and domestically. There is no way you will go through their entire selection. The place is never too crowded or noisy. Great to drink in or take out. No line or jockeying for the bar.

This bar has a great idea for offering a VERY wide selection of beer. They have several door's worth of cans, as you would find in a beer store, as well as a dozen and a half of draft options in addition. I thought the food was better than expected and they have some interesting and tasty options. We got two types of the pretzel options and I got a panini and all were very good. It's a simple setting, which I like, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I will surely be back in the future during one of my next visits to the area.

Hands down, the best beer joint in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. Angel is what really makes this place stand out. I’m so glad it has been around for five years and counting. The food is excellent as well. Not sure I understand the complaints on the corkage fee—it is one of the lowest around. Obviously no corkage fee on draft pours. Highly recommend for any beer lover out there. Come for lunch or dinner.Vegetarian options: City Beer has a vegetarian section on the menu that is excellent.
