Cafe Roma Pizzeria - New York City

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cafe Roma!

The regular pizza was quite good, but I regret ordering the garlic knots. They really let me down, and I couldn't even bring myself to finish them. To add insult to injury, I discovered later that the four garlic knots I ordered cost $3.50! You'd think they were made of gold or something. They were terrible, and the price was just as bad. Stick with the pizza!

I asked him to hold on while I discussed this unexpected request with my husband. I was taken aback—what kind of establishment calls a customer to ask for a larger tip? I then asked if I could add the tip through the app, but he said, "No, the app has nothing to do with us; you have to give the tip to my delivery guy." I realized then that he expected cash, and I explained that I didn't have any. He interrupted me mid-sentence, saying "No problem," and when I asked if I could cancel the order because I couldn't pay in cash, he rushed me off the phone, saying "Okay, no problem," before hanging up on me. I was shocked—First, I was asked for more money, then I was cut off, and finally, the person on the line seemed annoyed because I didn't have cash. If my delivery address was too far, that’s not my fault; they need to clarify their delivery zone. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience with terrible service.

Not only is the pizza here really good but the owner/manager was a pleasure to speak to and really is interested in his customers. Plenty of room to sit and no more expensive than your typical kosher city pizza place.

I placed a several hundred dollar order for an event, so you think they would try to be decent human beings, but when their delivery was an hour late and I tried calling just to work with them, the people at the store just yelled continuously at me for no reason? They rely on the fact that they're kosher and people have limited options restaurant wise but they don't deserve to be in business with the way they treat costumers.
