Pho Express Angkor - New Westminster

Got to the Queensborough Landing Shopping Centre to do some shopping before it opened so we decided to get something to eat. Saw Pho Express as I walked by and decided to go in. We seated ourselves and there were already menus on the table. A few minutes later, the staff came over and brought us tea and asked for our order. We order the lemongrass chicken with fried egg on rice and the chicken and chicken ball on noodle soup. The prices are similiar to other Vietnamese restaurants. We received our food within 10 minutes and the portions are similiar to what you would find at other Vietnamese restaurants. I did notice that the piece of lemongrass chicken was quite large. Tasting the food, it was fine. It was not the best that I have. I wish that it would be been more tasty and had more flavour. Saying that, everything tasted fresh. The staff was nice and the service was good. Of note is that they do not accept credit cards, only cash or debit.

Come here often on weekends. I've never had a bad experience With food or service and prices are pretty solid.

I came here today to decide to give it a try as I seen this restaurant many of times before when I am at the outdoor mall.The food is ok and service is ok too but I had a lot better food at Thai Son Restaurant and it is better than some other Pho restaurants.It is worth a try of this place if you happen to be around this restaurant.

Stopped here for lunch with the family as we were shopping in the area. We arrived on Sunday at around noon. There were only a few patrons there. We tried: Pho Tai Bo Vien OK. Soup was a little on the bland side, but decent quality noodles and good value. Thai Chicken Wings OK. Nothing special. Pad Thai OK flavor, huge serving. I could only eat half of it, so I took the rest home as leftovers. Same noodles used as in the pho. Just to be clear they serve predominately Vietnamese dishes, but their signage (and menu) emphasize Thai food, but there really weren't many Thai dishes to select from (maybe 7 dishes). Service was minimal, and had to be waved down if we wanted anything. This is a Cash Only establishment. Plenty of parking in this outdoor mall. There aren't any stores in the immediate area of this restaurant (just a couple of empty spaces for lease), so there is no competition for parking. Overall, decent food and good prices. Nothing special, but if I didn't feel like going one of the chain restaurants in the area, this isn't a bad choice.

It is a quick place for a quick lunch ,not a big place but clean ,modern setting , affordable price , fresh ingredients , if you around Queensborough Landing area . great idea for cold day ! your stomach will thank you !
