The restaurant accommodated us when we called last minute, the service from the waitress was fantastic, and the food was excellent.

The spacious room with its decorations was ideal for enjoying a meal with friends while still being able to hear each other. The high ceiling enhanced the feeling of openness. We often dine out with this group of friends, and we all had nothing but positive things to say about the restaurant.

The nut roast was a bit dry and it seemed like the vegetables were pre-cooked for all the roasts and just left sitting in the kitchen. However, the relaxed ambiance and charming decor created a nice setting to meet up with friends. The staff were courteous and efficient, so we would suggest this place to others, although maybe just for drinks.

We thought we would try it for Valentines Day. They have spent money on the refurbishment which has been done well and it had nice touches but we were very disappointed with the meal. Our starters were lukewarm and our steak was gristly. We were only asked if everything was ok when we were paying and the response we got for our disappointment was. Sorry about that. We paid £60 for the meal and 3 drinks which we didn’t think was value for money. We won’t be returning.

We enjoy the dining room,as part of being with other people..we prefer not to be disturbed by small children running and screaming!! But love the menue, the beef needs to be very well done for one of us.puddings seem a bit all for the price.but very tasty.
