Jugemu & Shimbashi - Neutral Bay

I had a craving for okonomiyaki and this place has a good selection of them on the menuPlace was full at 7:30 pm on a Sunday night.

We eat at Jugemu & Shimbashi regularly for lunchExceptional soba (buckwheat noodles).

The soba here is handmade inhouse everyday, make sure you try them! <br/ I loved my cold oroshi soba, noodle is very aldente, fragrant with buckwheat and the grated daikon is fresh. <br/ The chicken mushroom soup soba is warming and perfect for winter. The seafood okonomiyaki is filling, generous with toppings and delicious.<br/ <br/ Everything is amazing, we will be back!

Loved the experience! Luckily, we came as a party of two and managed to get a spot at the bar since we didn’t have a booking. It was awesome watching them make the food right in front of you. Prices are quite steep though.

There are many reasons to love this place the gyoza is exceptional, the scallops are delightful, the soba noodles are delicious..... but the best thing they do here is the miso. Made from scratch, delicately smokey and absolutely delightful I cannot have miso from any other place now, they have spoiled me!
