Barr’s Music City Soul Food

I will never order from this restaurant again. I spent over $50 on DoorDash for food that I couldn't eat. We ordered the whole wings and meatloaf combo. I have a tomato allergy and despite requesting no red sauce, they still put it on. We asked for whole wings but received party wings with lemon pepper seasoning instead. When we called to complain, the man said they couldn't do anything and to contact DoorDash. I was not satisfied with their response and found the whole experience to be frustrating. Overall, I would not give them another chance. They were rude.

My food was delicious! Seasoning on point with the fish, the breading was crispy, and tender and moist inside. The Mac and cheese was delicious, the greens were on point! Loved the cornbread, sweet, spongy, and a good size.

Quality of greens (woody tough stems and bland), mac and cheese (tasted like sugar was in it), green beans (canned with almost no seasoning) and black eyed peas (bland but edible) plus a store bought roll were NOT worth almost $18.I let the restaurant know in the online survey with my receipt but received no response much less any effort to make it right.There are a lot of meat and 3, and soul food places in Nashville that offer delicious food at for considerably less.

I arrived at the restaurant at exactly 2:59 PM and placed my order at 3:00 PM, expecting to receive the lunch special. However, I was charged for a full-price dinner meal. I recommend opting for the lunch special when dining here, as the dinner portions are small and the baked chicken was dry. Despite being a regular customer, I was disappointed by the high prices and unfriendly service. The drink I purchased was not cold and seemed to be at room temperature. While the owners are kind, the unfriendly staff can be off-putting to customers. Overall, if you are in South Nashville and looking for soul food, this restaurant is your best option. Otherwise, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I ordered this place through Postmates and was like WHAT THE HELL. I didn’t know chicken could taste that good or be that tender. The sides were amazing! The only thing I would change is make that spaghetti less sweet ?
