Captain Jacks - NARRAGANSETT

The owner is unfriendly and seems indifferent to the customers. While the food is decent, it's nothing special. Given the staff's lack of care and motivation, you’d be better off saving your money for a place that offers better food and a more welcoming atmosphere.

This meal is definitely a challenge to finish! The fish was light and flavorful, while the shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly. The clam chowder and clam cakes were delightful as well. All of this for just twenty dollars is an incredible deal, and the service was outstanding!

Less than 10 minutes later, the waitress magically appeared with a lobster that was presented on a large plate, standing with its body and head in a bowl, claws on either side, and a tail cut in half. Great service, except for one glaring issue: while all the other cooked lobsters were bright red, this one had a Tell Valley Orange color that clearly came from a baked lobster that had been "recycled" to appear as if it were cooked! From my experience in the business, I can tell the difference! Additionally, the ‘butter’ served with it tasted like Wesson oil. As for the fish and chips, they were dripping with grease, with a thick crust that was cooked on the outside but raw on the inside. Overall, for $118 including tip, it was an awful experience.

We're just here. Host was nice. The waitress was prompt, friendly and clean. The view of water is beautiful and design of the interior. My daughter ordered the grilled chicken/rib combo $15- I just ordered from appetizer place I found steamer. Yeah, we saw these huge great deserts. Good meal delivered, but we were tied, combo was not grilled. The waitress said they roast chicken, rib in broiler and a pale splash of grilled sauce. Well, that was a farewell had worked appetite for BARBECUED FOOD! Steamer in a bowl some empty bowls,taste ok not sweet and tasty. We went there before the coffee was terrible, said the guard at that time that it prefabricated from outside co. and reheated!! YUK! Coffee lovers just believed. So we had water plus a chocolate mousse, very rich and strawberry shortcake, Cream ,stiff,no taste, no vanilla in it, not sure whether all cream. I got check dampers were $16.95 appetizer part. I thought they were $9.95 I looked at the menu and realized that I was wrong that shell pricemines said mkt value. There should be a law that they must put any price of the day. When I went out, I pointed out that the hostess realized it was my fault. THE OWNER JACK GAME to see how it is that it is MKT VALUE and CARRY ON SHORT,STOUT,LOUD, OBNOXIOUS ARROGANT I have said that the practice was there for an applicant, and it is not that far. He has no other restaurant in Snug Harbor. I don't care about a real gold mine. But he has no fines, cordiality, gracious, way with the public his customers. I think he's from NY has a Jewish deli there. Finally, I hope someone who appreciates customers especially in these difficult times buys his restaurant. All companies have seen a decline, he should. I will find a friendly place to go. Oh, yeah, I'm 67 Yrs, and I've got a walker I had a heart attack when he jumped on me. Bully.
