O' Marenaro - Naples

Excellent food , really well cooked , best octopus I have eaten. Staff really friendly and service was great. Pasta was very nice indeed , washed down with nice wine.

Perfect Italian food. Never the correct bill. Waiting time is acceptable. Great sea food. Interesting local life: we can’t stop watching people, it’s like being at the theatre. People shouting, kissing, smoking, gesticulating.....we can’t stop laughing. Don’t expect elegance and class, you won’t find it here but you must try the best food you can imagine.

We visited the restaurant on two occasions. The first time we waited half an hour while the waiters kissed and hugged people they knew walking up/down the street only to be told they ran out of seafood. Stupidly we went back. The second time was much the same. It took 20 minutes to get a torn menu even though 4 waiters were loitering about. The plates they brought out were dirty and oily. The portions were tiny (we were left starving). We also got charged 6 extra euros for 4 plastic cups. The meals (fried calamari and shrimps) with chips on the side were entree size, totally overpriced and didn't taste that great.
