Osteria Da Carmela - Naples

Amazing gem of a restaurant in Naples! I have travelled all over Italy and eaten some amazing meals. This is one of the best. Great recommendation from Rick Steves. Make reservations if you can. It’s always very popular.

The small place was full and the owner ran like crazy to get everyone served, to the point of it becoming a delicious side dish. Congratulations to him! We loved it.

Super welcoming and lovely food. For sure expect a more leisurely pace of food, since the owner/waiter is doing it alone, but that doesn’t detract at all from the experience! Really great find and thoroughly recommend

The Osteria provides an intimate and welcoming atmosphere and excellent local fare from il mare; we did not try la terra.
