Kasira Fine Thai Cuisine - Nanaimo

We have been loyal customers of Kasira for many years, but recently we have been facing difficulties in finding the wine we prefer. During our most recent visit, we were informed that they only had two red wines available as they were out of our preferred white wine. The staff suggested we go to a nearby liquor store to purchase a bottle to enjoy with our meal, for which we were charged a $15 cork fee. Despite opening and pouring the wine ourselves, we were only provided with two wine glasses. When it came time for dessert, there was confusion about the available options and a long wait for our order. Ultimately, we decided to pay and leave. While the food at Kasira is consistently delicious, the lackluster service experience has us reconsidering our frequent visits. If they are unable to provide a satisfactory wine selection, we will be taking our business elsewhere. We left feeling very disappointed.

I finally had time for lunch between sales in Kasira and was very impressed. The server was very good, attentive and the food was well presented. Good value. Very delicious. Thank you.

All meals were delicious. Often take out and it's always a treat. All according to Kovid protocols. Friendly staff. Meals are seasoned for perfection. Love their pad Thai and shrimp.

After finishing our round of golf, we needed a takeout lunch for three generations. Thai food is a family favorite, so we decided to order from this restaurant since other Thai restaurants were closed on a Saturday afternoon. We had initially planned to eat in the parking lot, but it was too cold and windy. The four of us ordered two Pad Thai dishes, which were a good portion size to share and were fresh and healthy. It was convenient during these COVID times. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
