We ordered this new dish along with another to share, as we had previously enjoyed the Spaghettini with jumbo prawns. However, when the dish arrived, it did not contain the jumbo prawns as advertised on the menu. The shrimp included were tasteless and of a smaller size. When I asked the server about the prawns, they initially said they were not jumbo. After checking the menu, I pointed out that it clearly stated jumbo prawns. The server then insisted that they were jumbo prawns, despite my disagreement. The manager also defended the dish, claiming they were indeed jumbo prawns, even though they were clearly not. Although they offered to bring more prawns, I declined, as they were not the quality we expected. The restaurant's interior also showed signs of neglect, with peeling paint, dirty doors, and stained carpets. This decline in quality, both in terms of food and maintenance, has led us to remove this restaurant from our list of go-to places. It seems they are cutting corners and deceiving customers now.
Super disappointed with our experience here. The food was terrible (millionaires streak isn’t worth a Nicole) and the service was fast food caliber. Really a shame.
I can always count on Cactus Club for a quality meal. The Fennie burger was cooked properly and had great flavour. The Yams fries again, delicious, not soggy like some. Rob’s crispy chicken sandwich, although smaller than past was still moist and tasty. Service was a...little slow, mainly due to staff shortage was my guest. Very pleasant meal, good value.
We went to celebrate my mom’s retirement and our server Bailey went out of her way to make our experience exceptional. The food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious, however Bailey’s charisma and attitude really made the evening!!! We will be back, and hope to...be seated in her section!
We had a lovely lunch at the Cactus Club. I love that they keep favorites on the menu. The ravioli prawn is one of Chef Feenie's best combination flavours and we have been enjoying it since they opened the Cactus Club on English Bay in...Vancouver! The timing was perfect, I caught the server keeping an eye on our consumption of the first course so the second course arrived at the perfect time. Great experience. A little expensive but worth it.
