Sooey's Bbq Rib Shack - Nags Head

The BBQ was delicious! The service from the waitstaff could have been better, as they seemed a bit distracted, but the food definitely made up for it! The prices were a bit high for what you receive, but the taste more than made up for it. Their sauce was amazing!

I’m from Pennsylvania, a place famous for its barbecue, and I have to say this was the best dining experience I've ever had! The atmosphere was incredible, and the kids' menu comes with a frisbee as a plate, which they can take home as a fun souvenir—a delightful surprise! Our waitress, Lisa, was outstanding; her personality was simply exceptional. On our way home, we even remarked that every waitress should be like her. She truly enhanced our experience. If you're considering visiting, I hope you get her as your server! I don’t often write reviews, especially negative ones, but I made an effort to share this because it deserves recognition. This place used to be an old gas station, but it’s a hidden gem that is absolutely worth every penny. And don’t miss out on their cornbread—it's incredibly warm and sweet!

The BBQ was decent, but I’ve had better. The burger was enjoyable, but I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw. The wait staff were attentive and friendly, and the restrooms were very clean. I’d like to try the fried chicken, so I plan to return.

Small eatery, delicious southern cooking! Ribs were really good!

Best part was the service from Linda. Could not have been a nicer person with a obvious love and appreciation for what she does for everyone she serves. Food was very good and flavorful. Had brisket (fall apart tender and juicy), ribs (heavy on the smokebut cooked just right. Meat comes off clean but they don't completely fall apart. Perfect stop to finish out our time in OBX.
