Very nice place and great service. The only thing is that they did not put the tip on for our nice efficient waitress.

We have eaten here in the past and really enjoyed our meals however not so much tonight. I ordered the fried fantail shrimp. My husband ordered the broiled grouper. He did not think the grouper was as good as in the past. My shrimp were terrible. They had a very strong flavor which almost made me sick and I didn’t eat them. I commented to the server that I thought they tasted bad. She offered to get me something else but I was afraid to order any other seafood. The couple that sat behind us approached us as we’ were leaving and told us they too found that their fried flounder had a very strong taste and they were not able to eat it either. I found that alarming and reported it to a staff member who said she would let the owner know. We paid almost $90 and it was not worth it at all. We will not be back.

Disappointed based on reviews, such as Southern Living 2023 best seafood in SC, and longevity in business 70+ years. I found food average, no better , no worse than others. Imo, I enjoy Sarah J's much better.

This was just what we were looking for for myself, my wife, and four children. The server was great and the perfect balance of attentive but not overboard. The food came out fast and the place seemed full. I got the catch of the day which was grouper, as part of a combination entrée. I had blackened grouper and scallops, with a side salad and pimento cheese grits. The complimentary hush puppies with whipped butter where great too. My wife had the shrimp and grits. I tried it and it was 5 stars too. We enjoyed the low key setting as well. We will be back the next time we visit Myrtle Beach.

We ate here with family. My parents and grandparents used to go here every year. My dad had been going since he was a kid. We hadn’t been to the area in several years though. My mamaw said it was her best meal on the inlet. I ordered the early-lite broiled seafood platter. The salad was excellent and the ranch dressing was delicious! Hush puppies were good. The founder was great. The shrimp was okay and the deviled crab was good. Overall, good experience. I would eat here again. It had a good atmosphere to it and I love that they’ve been in business so long.
