The gnocchi was basically just mashed potato shaped into a square, I have no idea how it stayed together. The slow cooked lamb looked like a congealed mess and the chef did not seem to care about any feedback. I will never return to this restaurant.
If I could give it a rating of zero, I would. This Thai beef salad was the worst I've ever had. The beef tasted like it was microwaved and the only sauce used was sweet chili sauce after cooking. The gnocchi was more like mashed potato with a cheese sauce, not blue cheese as listed on the menu. The slow-cooked lamb had no flavor and seemed like yesterday's roast reheated. When we complained to the manager/chef, they disagreed and insisted that the meals were perfectly cooked. We requested a refund as three out of the four meals were inedible, but it was refused. I will never return to this restaurant.
Stoped for dinner and left disappointed. Had the Thursday steak and it was wafer thin and very tough. The entree was poor (spring rolls). Parma was not bad but overall not a good meal.
Haven’t been to the Bistro for some time as the quality and slap dash service was so poor. Friends suggested we give it another try as they have a new General Manager. Firstly you have to queue at the counter like McDonalds. My friend and I ordered Salmon and potato salad for $28 each and the fish was raw so we sent them back and waited 20 mins for replacements. By this time our husbands had finished their meals. WAKE UP MANAGEMENT and COMMITTEE what did you do all the renovations for if you can’t cook a reasonable meal, no wonder the place was half empty on a Saturday night.
We used to eat at this bistro once a week, but stopped dining here 18 months ago due to a decline in food quality. They used to have an excellent Sunday lunch carvery, so we decided to give it another try. However, they now serve the carvery to you and the quality has continued to drop. We will not be returning to this bistro unless they improve the quality of their food and hire better chefs like they had over 18 months ago. As a member of this club, it is time for them to pay attention to the reviews on TripAdvisor and feedback from unhappy diners.
