Ali Asian Cuisine - Mt Vernon

It would be great if they could provide a non-fish sauce option for all of the Thai dishes on the menu.

Great place. If I ever go through Mt Vernon again, I will definitely stop here and try more from their menu. I ordered Sushi to go and was told it would be about half an hour so I was able to fill my tank and run a break, and come back in time to lift it. The sushi was beautiful and delicious. I also have the tea of the day and it has hit everything perfectly. Btw, it seems Sushi is the only thing that takes so much time. The people who were there when I arrived and the others who were there when I came back seemed to get their stuff very fast. Just Fyi if you want to plan your timing.

The portions at this restaurant are generous and absolutely delicious. I tried the salt and pepper calamari which was deep fried without any old oil flavor and fantastic. The vegetables were a great addition. I also had the extra sharp shrimp pad Thai noodles, which although not as sharp as I had hoped, had an incredible taste. The strawberry love dessert was okay, but since I have never tried it before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was really impressed by the care and dedication put into preparing the dishes, especially considering it was a takeout order. I was so eager to dig in that I didn't even get a chance to take a pretty picture of the pad Thai, but trust me, it was amazing.

They have now started offering dine-in options and have removed the drive-through window for pick-up orders. Currently, Ali's only offers dine-in service, but they are running a special deal where you receive a free item with the purchase of 6. This was our first time ordering from Ali's and we decided to try out all their new dishes. Everything was prepared perfectly, and the presentation of the food was impressive, considering we traveled 30 miles to get there. We asked for our two main courses to have an extra kick of spice, and they accommodated our request without any issues. The Bangkok Combo was delicious with a bit more heat, and the Beef Pad Thai had just the right amount of spice mixed with all the different flavors. The sushi rolls were even more flavorful than they looked! We can't wait for them to open up for dine-in service so we can enjoy the food inside the restaurant. Although Ali's is a bit hidden away, it is definitely worth a visit! We felt like we got our money's worth and then some.
