Superior food great service and excellent atmosphere

4 YUMMMERS! Tasty steak and baked potato. Sweet atmosphere. You'll like it!

We were on vacation and found Rare Chop House on Trip Advisor, and what a find! Our waiter, Jonathan, was a delight! He willingly provided recommendations and his favorites when asked. We shared the Shrimp Fettucine (3 large shrimp each) and a Brussel sprouts side special, each had a side salad and shared an amazing piece of cheesecake with salted caramel sauce. The service was prompt and the food absolutely delicious!! It's listed as , but seems more appropriate. The bar lounge area had live music which added a nice ambience to the evening for us.

Great place and a great staff. Had steaks and they were perfect. The jalapeno grits were also fantastic. Definitely a good place to eat.

Went here with my folks while we were in town for the July 4th weekend, and it was just as good as every other time we've been. Drinks (chai white Russian and black Manhattan) were awesome, fritters and salmon appetizers were great, dinner was great, and dessert was amazing. The quality of food and service outshines a lot of restaurants in larger cities. Keep doing what you're doing, Rare. You are a true gem in Mt Vernon.
