Gus's Orginal Hot Dog - Mountain Brook

Delicious! I absolutely adore this restaurant! The staff is consistently very friendly, and the food arrives quickly and piping hot. They serve the best chili dogs in Birmingham!

The food here is fantastic, especially the hot dogs and hamburgers. Breakfast is excellent as well. The service is friendly, and the neighborhood is lovely. The only thing that could be improved is the decor, which feels a bit outdated and haphazard.

Gus is a fantastic hot dog spot that perfectly embodies what a hot dog shop should be. It’s cozy and charming, featuring a small TV in the corner playing ESPN. The friendly service and warm welcome you receive as soon as you walk in are unbeatable. The special hot dog is outstanding, and I also enjoyed a chili dog topped with Slaw and mustard, both of which were delicious. With such great food and welcoming service, this little gem is hard to top—though I have yet to try Chicago Mike's!

Even if the Gus's HOT DOGS is called, the Philly Chesse Steak is the best in Birmingham! Better than Salems. I love it!

Ernie is the best. Since Ernie bought Gus's hot dogs in Crestline Village the hot dogs are #1. I don't know of a better hot dog or a nicer person than Ernie.
