We stayed at Mount Gambier for a night and came here for dinner and tried the eye fillet. Absolutely amazing! Would recommend it to go with the mushroom and bacon sauce. Perfect for couple or family to have dinner there. Love the interior set up as well. Booking does need to be made prior to coming to the restaurant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Firstly, the service staff exhibited a rude attitude, and this is not an isolated issue. It started from the ordering process, where they incessantly pressured us even when we explicitly stated that we were still deciding. As we were about to finish our meal, they continued to urge us, using the excuse of clearing the table, making the dining experience extremely unpleasant. Additionally, I ordered what should be considered the restaurant's signature dish, the Wagyu Eye Fillet, cooked to a medium rare. It was evident that they had overcooked the outer layer, resulting in a pronounced bitter taste. The steak's tenderness was also poorly executed, as every bite had a tangy aftertaste—an issue I believe a restaurant of this caliber should not have. Lastly, it is worth mentioning that all individuals of Asian descent were seated in a dimly lit interior. Upon leaving, we discovered that well-lit seating areas were exclusively allocated to Caucasian patrons, despite a considerable number of available seats. I perceive this as a clear case of racial discrimination, which I hope will be addressed. Treating customers in such a manner, especially as a landmark gourmet restaurant on the Great Ocean Road, is disgraceful.
