Royal Copenhagen Ice Creamery

We had a light lunch at this restaurant and decided to order the pea and ham soup. It took a long time to be served and when it finally arrived, it was only lukewarm. Despite this, it was quite tasty. Unfortunately, I discovered a piece of plastic in my soup which was not a pleasant surprise. The soup also came with toast on the side.

Just what we needed after paying through the roof for an unsatisfying lunch at another cafe. Our ice creams were delicious! Next time we’ll get a drink too. Great location.

I visited Mount Gambier Copenhagen Ice cream shop today for an ice cream and mocha. After taking a sip of the drink I was horrified to find a huge, dead fly in my mouth that had clearly been marinating in my take-away drink (which had a lid on). This is beyond unhygienic and highly disgusting. Additionally, the staff that scooped the ice cream that I also purchased from this store were not wearing any gloves and their hands were touching the ice cream cones. People are bound to catch COVID-19 from this unhygienic, horrid place. Attached is an image of the fly that was in my drink after it was spat out onto the ground. Although the staff were friendly, this does not compensate for the unhygienic nature of the store..... would not recommend visiting.

I chose to celebrate my birthday dinner at this restaurant. We arrived around 5:30pm for a special dessert-only meal. I ordered the banana waffle and my partner chose the berry crepe. The only downside was that they didn't come out at the same time. The waffle was amazing! My partner raved that the crepe was the best he's ever had. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant again!

The service was very friendly, with a good selection of light lunch options. The ice-creams were excellent and the atmosphere was cozy. Prices were reasonable and we will definitely return in the future.
