Collars & Cuffs Coffee Bar

My family and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast together. The restaurant had a wonderful selection and the service was quick and friendly. The coffee was just right, served at the perfect temperature.

Collar and Cuffs was very close to my motel in Mt Gambier, and was a favourite for coffee or breakfast while I was there. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I have absolutely no complaints whatever over the quality of the food or the coffees. I loved their 'big breakfast ', which was BIG, well cooked and delicious. Service and efficiency in delivering food and coffee was excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the place has the laid-back atmosphere of a local destination. I will definitely be visiting this great little cafe whenever I return to Mt Gambier. Well done Collar and Cuffs.

I hosted a group lunch recently. Could not believe the extensive menu choices on offer and meals arrived promptly. Wonderful friendly staff who took the busy lunchtime business in their stride. I ordered the Soup of the day Potato and Bacon. A very generous serve and beautifully flavoured. Those who ordered the Grilled or Battered Fish were thrilled with their choice too. No hesitation recommending this little gem.

My wife and I decided to have a cappuccino at this restaurant and also ordered the raisin toast. The staff were friendly when we arrived and seated us promptly. The coffee was decent and the two slices of raisin toast were satisfactory, although I personally think for $6.50, the slices could have been thicker. Overall, everything was fine.

Arrived in Mt Gambier just around lunchtime in Covid19 South Australia. Some restrictions had just been lifted allowing cafes to re-open with limited diners. After trying a couple, Collars and Cuffs checked their numbers and “yes” we were able to be served. Taking an outside table, we ordered. The service was very friendly and efficient. We appreciated that the staff were being particular about the Covid19 restrictions. The meals were generous in size and obviously care taken with the end result being a most enjoyable meal. We were most impressed that we went back next morning for breakfast! For lunch we ordered – eggs and bacon with fried eggs and a warm chicken salad with along black and a mixed berry thickshake. The bacon smokey and several rashes with two fried eggs on toasted sourdough bread. The warm chicken salad was very flavoursome with a great balance with the mayonnaise and the other ingredients. For breakfast the next morning, we sat indoors and both had eggs and bacon with mine being scrambled and partner’s fried. A long black and flat white coffees ordered. Again, the same quality of service and friendliness. Both meals were reasonably costed. This café is well worth of praise for their service, quality of food and willingness to ensure that all Covid19 restrictions were adhered too! Return? When in Mt Gambier, Collars and Cuffs will be on our list at which to definitely dine.
