St Werburgh’s Chapel - Mount Barker

A good example of the Victorian rural Gothic architecture, the chapel is considered the only surviving church in Western Australia, originally built on the landowner's private property.

We drove off Muir Highway, but the gravel road wasn't great, we had a better ride on the other way. Great chapel, beautiful place. It is worth visiting the small effort.

Metal road. Can see the chapel from the street. Go through the gate. A very special place to sit and contemplate. Support for the maintenance fund.

A beautiful little chapel in a very remote location. In the middle of rolling agricultural areas it has recently undergone restoration. It can be a little hard to find, but it is definitely worth the trip.
