Award winning bakery!, and i can see why. Alot of bakery's like to claim that they are award winners which is technically true if you have claimed a prize

We stopped in to get a bit of lunch since many of the other restaurants in Mt Barker were closed for lunch on Mondays. The prices here are quite steep compared to other places. Our pies cost us $6.80 each - but it was worth it. We had the BBQ pork pie - the pastry was soft and delicious, and there was a minced pork inside with a BBQ sauce. All a bit messy if you're not careful (wouldn't want to be eating this while driving!), but absolutely delicious.We treated ourselves to some rum balls for dessert, they were 80 cents each, but very big, rich, and delicious.There are few tiny tables inside and out where you can eat if you're not just passing through. Not a cosy atmosphere, but better that than spilling down our shirts! Lots of people came through while we enjoyed our food - it's a popular place. Be aware there's not a lot of parking here. Not sure where you'd park if you had a caravan or trailer.

On our way back from Albany to Visit our Grand Daughter we stopped off at Mt Barker Country Baker and we bought a Curry Pie.It was amazing. Such a beautiful Curry taste to your taste buds.We did pop back into the shop to say how good it was but staff too busy.Shall be popping in again in December on our Next trip to Albany.Looking forward to yet Another Curry Pie.Give one a try you shall not be dissapointed.

Every time we drive between Perth and Albany we stop here to stock up on bread and gluten-free road food. The wraps are freshly made and delicious. Muffins worth a sample. Today we bought a date loaf too- smashed it. It can be hard to find healthy food on the road and we have tried many other places- this bakery ticks all out boxes
