Cellar Door - Mornington Peninsula

Really lovely family run winery with a cellar door and an awesome restaurant - home cooking with great service.

Total failure on service, amateurs, they have no idea. Ordered food 50 minutes ago. Asked for wine list, still waiting and so it goes. Nothing more to say. Love the live music.

We were taken here on an organised winery tour today and were met by a lovely Scottish lady who did our wine tasting. She was very knowledgable and friendly. The wines were lovely too.

Terre has gone and the place still looks good but there is German style food and service that at best was a little chaotic. The food was OK but not special and although busy there seemed to be a lack of coordination which one could put it down to lack of experience. and training. A pity because the wine is OK and the venue is great and maybe time will tell and the current operators will move elsewhere. There are far better places on the Peninsula.

So disappointed. Returned to what we remembered as a classy lovely restaurant when the previous owners were operating as Terre. Sad Sad .... Sad. Waitresses pleasant and outside of premises still lovely but everything else a complete nightmare. Decor inside frightful, menu frightful ,we got a complete shock very sad . Not professionally operated.
