Contribuiți la feedbackHad a delicious meal after visiting the cellar door tasting area. The wines were all very tasty. The meal ... shared platter of terrine and pate, rhubarb relish, celeriac ... divine! Sicilian seafood stew with sourdough bread to dip and soak up the last bit of sauce and a bottle of Pinot Gris to wash it all down! Buonissimo!
The food and service at Regardz is great. Bernard is a top chef and lovely guy. The wait Team are warm, friendly and efficient. All the meals I've had have been superb over the years and I am a fussy foodie.Well done Bernard and Team and Stumpy Gully on consistency great food and wine
We visited Regardz for a special occasion dinner as a foursome. The ambience is not large, and happily relaxed, the staff are attentive, and the food is good. The menu is kept refreshed, with some favourites combined with seasonal fare such as a warming Sicilian seafood "stew". We enjoyed oysters & scallops, fresh figs & goats cheese, and angelhair pasta wrapped in smoked salmon as entrees. All well received. Mains included the Sicilian seafood dish, seared Atlantic salmon and a very fine eye fillet steak, cooked as ordered. As usual the desserts were irresistible! The mango mousse was delectable, the creme brulee generous and delightful, and the vacherin enormous, hugely calorific and equally excellent. The food was accompanied by estate wines of our choice which were very enjoyable.
We have long been fans of Stumpy Gully's magnificent Pinot Noir and this was our first visit for lunch. The dining room is beautiful and not too big with lovely views out to the vineyards and countryside. The service was good and so were the wines. For starter we had the Pan fried King prawns and Tasmanian scallops, fennel, chili and lime salad which although generous, was underwhelming. The seafood was overcooked and the dish lacked flavour. The Yellowtail Kingfish and Bluefin tuna entree was pretty good but could have done with more condiments. The standout dish was the Braised Oxtail stripped from the bone rolled in proscuito, drizzled with a raspberry wine and orangesyrup, topped with gremolata. Served with steamed asparagus and roast parsnip puree - that really was a 10 out of 10.
Regardz is a great place to while away the lunchtime hours. It is a beautiful winery with a lovely outlook with plenty of parking. It isn't overly huge so I'd recommend booking. The food was fantastic, well flavoured and beautifully cooked. The prawns and scallop entrée with fennel was so tasty, and my duck breast was delightful. The wines here are also of a fine quality, and at a reasonable price. The sangiovese sublime. So, why not excellent? The only problem we had is that I thought there was a little was an extended wait between courses. I like some time, but it was quite a large amount of time, but it may just have been the day. It's not cheap, but I will certainly try it again.
