Soundside - Morehead City

I chose SoundSide restaurant for my birthday dinner last night and so glad I did. My husband had made the reservation, which is now required for the dining room and the bar, so that the staff can accommodate people and offer top service. Our waitress, Summer, was attentive and wonderful, and we enjoyed one of the best dinners. I recommend the wedge salad, the fillet and the chocolate flourless cake. (Dessert is free for the person's birthday. Thanks to everyone at SoundSide!

My family and I came here for birthday dinner. The food was great. The atmosphere was very comfortable. Come on.

My husband and I dined here for Valentine's Day last month. Although they were completely out of steak, which was the main reason I wanted to visit, the lamb special was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the shrimp sampler, and we shared the shrimp dimmer. While I wasn't a fan of the crab dive – but that's mainly because I'm not really into crab – my husband enjoyed it. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. I asked if it was possible to get a non-alcoholic berry lemonade (which wasn’t on the menu), and she made something special for me that was exactly what I wanted! We will definitely be back.

The food was excellent, and the entire staff was wonderful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

The food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance is lovely. I would have given them 5 stars, but the wait for our food was excessively long, approximately 45 minutes before it arrived.
