Contribuiți la feedbackI decided to try a different brekky venue today but was quite dissapointed. The menu was not expansive with poached eggs being the only choice of eggs dishes (no scrambled, fried choices) average cost $20. The blues music playing on the resturant speakers were a little uncomfortably loud for people wanting to enjoy a quiet Sunday morn brekky. I chose the avocado on sunflower sourdough, which was very nice. The staff (although very polite) were not attentive, I had to get their attention to request more tea, also one of them bumped my chair and didnt apologise and no one asked how was my brekky. With so many other restaurants along the esplanade offering much more extensive and cheaper brekky menu choices, quiet atmosphere and attentive staff I'm afraid people will choose to breakfast elsewhere. I know I will.
The charming manager here is a real character and clearly loves what he does, so refreshing to find someone so professional and yet still friendly and efficient. The **** Marys are awesome and like nothing we've ever had before, the presentation is truly spectacular. We all had different meals and really enjoyed everything - definitely get some chips, yummo!
We had a great experience here! Service was friendly and helpful and how can you beat the location across from the ocean? The coffee was perfect as I suspected it would be (we even had second cups) We shared a croque Monsieur which was sinfully delicious and plenty for us to share just because it was so rich! Overall, a great spot that I will definitely return to.
I tried the Big Breakfast and it was a unique twist on the traditional dish. It was classy and high quality. I savored every bite and left feeling full and content. The service was excellent and it was a great value for the price. I will definitely be returning.
I stopped by this restaurant for lunch last week and was pleasantly surprised. The outdoor seating had an excellent view of the water, and the wait staff had just the right balance of casual and attentive service. The food, especially the spiced bungalow pork sandwich and fries, was delicious and served in a generous portion. The pale ale beer was also a nice touch. Overall, Gainsbourgh was a welcome surprise on the esplanade and I would definitely recommend it.
