Pizzeria Don Peppino - Montpellier

We sat for dinner during our short visit to Montpelier. The pizza was nice, with fresh ingredients and fresh somewhat more than usual base, but we loved it. It reminded us of an old recipe of pizza hat!! The...salad was average, but ok, the wine tasted well, while the service of the young waitress was very polite and fast. We laughed the reviews for “la Patrone” but she was not so bad! We recommend taking the big pizza and not the small one since 50% more price You 3 times more pizza!!!! The mathematics proves it!!

When they write that service in Parisian restaurants is aggressive trying to eat a pizza here with a manager who could bear the first price for rest everywhere. Without it, the terrace would be lovely. The pizzas are first-class. But she knows how to ruin a seven: sits the three of us on a tiny table when a table for four was empty next to us. The 20-minute waiting time for coffee was overtaken by her, after 20 minutes that they do not serve decaffeinated. She just wanted us to go so she could sit some friends (many kisses) at a table that was now made up to six with us. Safe, customers not welcome!

I ate here on a Friday night. The location is very charming (in summer), a large terrace at the foot of a wall directly above the cathedral and under a beautiful place. That's more or less where the good news ends. The two young...waitstaff were very pleasant and efficient (where they had run away from their feet), which is much more than I can say for the couple who runs the place. The "Hostess ' was rude from beginning to end, table had no fabric or even paper mats, house Rosé was plonk, a small (19cm diameter) pesto pizza (one of the few without emerald cheese on it) and a salad took about 45 minutes to come. The pizza was drowned in tasteless cheese and poor oil. The crust was crispy and tasteless. Nothing positive about it. It was cheap: small pizza, salad and 1/4L rosé came to €15, but something like that. It is quite suspicious if a pizza place gives you a preset crust diameter that ends in a 9 that must be careful to the dough!!
