Same with the wasabi. Metal chopsticks… no sake. I don’t think the staff has ever experienced a Japanese restaurant. I was the sole patron with 6 staff. But never got a glance. Ran out of wasabi but got more myself.
We had a problem getting our heads around the menu. It may well be us but everything seemed to start with Miso soup. We decided to try elsewhere
Lovely meal and relaxed surrounding ..staff were friendly. We used google maps to locate as would not have found otherwise, however this makes it a quiet relaxed environment. Would recommend to others
Visited Oba for lunch, food was absolutely incredible. We cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu! Food was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. Best Japanese in Montpellier
We eat a lot of sushi in the US And Oba was definitely not up to par. The portions are tiny, the tempura shrimp rolls tough and tasteless, the gyoza was half the size of any we’ve ever seen, and the miso soup was only 3-4 ounces. In contrast, the cost was overpriced. We left Un-satisfied and hungry, after spending 58 euros for 2 rolls, 1 miso, 1 order of gyoza and 8 pieces of sushi.
