Very much like the only Indian restaurant serving the world, the tasteless dine. even her garlic cheese brot is kind of bad (how can they get a little bad from brot, cheese and garlic?? by the choice of bad ingredients perhaps). over, it's expensive: we paid 52...€ for a very small and disappointing mixed grill, a plate of curry huhn and rice and brot as a side dish.
Excellent eating, good service, but the deco does not support the experience at this place below. good, but it is valuable.
Despite the late hour the waiter owner? was welcoming and service as efficient throughout the meal. Disappointing no Pappadoms were available/offered so chose an Onion Bargee. Unfortunately this was just a collection of battered onion rings on a bed of lettuce, so not that impressive....The “India” =imported? Tarja Mahal beer was OK, if a tad expensive at nearly 5 Euros for a smallish bottle. The Tandoori Ghost Lamb Tikka Maasala was fine, particularly as it wasn’t swamped with sweet sticky sauce, complemented by the Kishmiri Rice ordered. Desert sorbet and a small coffee rounded off the meal. Overall an acceptable meal although adding up to over 40 Euros in the end….
I have tried different chicken tikka massala (14€ but haven't found one that replicates the original I tried. The chicken didn't seem to have absorbed the marinade so the flavours came more from the sauce than from the meat. Plain rice, as usual, is ridoculously...priced (as with other Indian restaurants in Paris, Marseille etc. i.e. 4€, but the portion was enough for 2 . I enjoyed the mango lassi (5€ as it wasn't too sweet and neither was it diluted with too much crushed/blended ice.
