Noodle City - Monterey Park

I really enjoyed the soup I had, which was beef and shrimp. The host, Meggie, was incredibly sweet and attentive. I highly recommend this place! You should definitely come here if you're in the area; I traveled all the way from Moreno Valley, CA.

I really love the rich, flavorful broth, the tender meats, and the fresh ingredients. This is my favorite spot for a satisfying bowl of pho that always leaves me wanting more. Don't miss this amazing pho place at Noodle City! Rating: 4/5.

We arrived as soon as they opened on Sunday morning. The service was fairly basic. The banh xeo and pho were brought to our table in under five minutes. The banh xeo was light and fluffy, although it wasn't crispy. The pho broth was rich in flavor, and the portion of meat was perfect.

The quality at this restaurant can be quite inconsistent. Their Bun Bo Hue is usually quite good, but yesterday, I was left disappointed. First, the soup lacked freshness and had an unpleasant smell. Second, there was no beef in any of the three bowls I ordered; it seemed like they either forgot to add it or intentionally left it out. Although the soup contained congealed pig's blood and pig knuckles, it definitely missed the beef that’s normally included. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I think I’ll steer clear of this place, at least when it comes to their Bun Bo Hue, for a bit. I realize I made the mistake of ordering the day after they had been closed, but honestly, why would they accept an order they can’t fulfill properly?
