Gatten Sushi - Monterey Park

If you’re in the mood for a variety of options, I highly recommend conveyor belt sushi, as it allows you to sample a range of dishes. This place serves some excellent food. My favorites included the raw shrimp sushi, fatty tuna, and the ebikasu fried shrimp popcorn. However, I wasn’t a fan of the albacore tuna, which I found to be dry and difficult to chew. We arrived before 6:30 pm on a Sunday evening and didn’t have to wait at all. By 7 pm, there was a line, but it moved quickly. When we left around 7:30, there were about three tables waiting. I also discovered that they hold a monthly plate tower competition, which I’m eager to try on my next visit!

It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant! It's a unique and enjoyable experience. My daughter absolutely loved it! I had to remind her to slow down on grabbing more plates since she wasn't finishing the ones she had already picked. Overall, it was a fun outing and the food was delicious.

I really enjoy this restaurant! While there’s much to appreciate about conveyor belt sushi, it’s convenient and quick. You can always order from the menu as well. They excel at the basics like sushi and tuna. When I ordered a spider roll, I felt a bit cramped; there were only two pieces, but I suppose that's how it's normally served?

My wife and I always come to Gatten sushi for sushi and delicious items they have.

Nice staff. Clean place. A little bit pricey but totally worth it. The quality of the food is excellent.
