Dot Dough - Monterey Park

After trying the Dot Dough Covina location. So we thought we’d try the MP location. They have cute seating outside and lots of yummy flavored to choose from. The milk and cereal and chocolate and chocolate cereal are hot and super tasty. The sugar and cinnamon sugar masacala also served warm. They are really light and fluffy and they melt in your mouth. The Oreo flavor donut is not very good. The hot Cheetos donut was pretty good it was very savory with lots of flavor. The blueberry and banana donut were ok. The location was clean and the employee was nice and helpful. Ten out of ten would totally recommend.

The donuts are incredible, do try. My matcha with soy milk drink had a nice bitterness that I enjoyed personally BUT it was really chalky.

Paid a visit on a weekday morning and disappeared. Ended up leaving empty handed. Street parking in front of the store is possible but pay attention to the parking hours and rules. Free parking is available in the back.BTW, the size of the Malasadas looks 1/3 smaller than the pictures posted by others. Start with$2.5+Tax.Reasons for 1 star: no one comes out or greeted me when I arrived. I thought maybe I was mistaken and went back to my car and visited it again a few minutes later. The donuts in display don't look good/not attractive. Their specialty seems to be the mochi donut instead of Malasadas. Don't even want to take a picture. The server who finally came out point me to the hug order screen. I don't remember seeing any sanitation items nearby for customer to use, but I went along anyway. The server keeps pointing me to the mochi donut rings. The Custer filled Malasadas sold out already at 11 ...and I thought this is a store brag about freshly made donuts?!??? Anyways, I'm glad that gave me the perfect excuse not to shop. Don't think I'll come again. : So sad... I was craving for a Malasadas and made a special trip here ....

Delicious malasadas and mochi donuts, with or without a variety of fillings. Please note however, we asked and there are no gluten free, no dairy free, no vegan options available.

First time I tried this place was during COVID lockdown when everything was just to-go, and this spot gave me relief from my dessert cravings! The filling is never too sweet, it's always just right. The donut itself is also soft and chewy so I've always loved coming to this place. Came back recently and the donuts/malasadas had a different texture and definitely looked fuller. Still great tho! It kinda takes awhile for it to be prepped maybe around 10-15 mins cus I think it's freshly made and stuffed. Person at the counter is always very nice too! They have a bench that you can sit in inside while waiting so you can just take in the decor and the colors. Highly recommended as treats for the fam or to just pig out by yourself lol the filling still isn't too sweet but it can get quite sugary but you can always brush excess sugar off if that's what you prefer! Just a heads up tho it can get quite pricey cus you buy it a piece.
