Shasta Valley Meats - Montague

Had lots of very bad experiences there. Brought a pig to them got it back and there way a ton of hair in my meat. When I complained about it the owner told me he's not getting paid to clean it. So I tried them again a year or so later and pretty much the same thing. Meat sticks weren't very good paid a lot of money for them and they weren't good. Staff is okay not much help. It's an okay ambiance.

Had my Deer processed here. Drop off and customer service was great! Added some meat sticks to my order (jalapeno and cheaddar) some pack a huge punch, others not nearly as bad. Recieved other standard cuts. Meat quality and cut is great! Great customer service and quality. Thank you

We absolutely love this place, so clean and professional, the meats are Top Notch, came back in on a Friday, we purchased 2 tritip sandwiches, from a Beautiful soul with pink lips, what a absolute doll, our sandwiches were to die for. We will be getting all of our meat's here ! Thank you so much for this family business.

I would absolutely recommend shopping here! Family owned and operated. I went ALL IN and order the 20lb Family Pack (variety of red meats). On the side, we found some large frozen scallops, a 1 pound pack of ground buffalo meat, a dozen local chicken eggs (yolks were mediocre yellow, clearly grain fed -pass on these). I was pleasantly surprised that ALL of the meats in the family pack order were top quality. I would not normally purchase store bought top sirloin without a significant amount of marinating, then cook. The top sirloin beef here was AWESOME with just some course ground salt and fresh cracked pepper YUM and YAY! Seems pricey at 1st glance... it 's not. It 's dang there a bargain, since now I have the ability to serve restaurant quality dishes from home with very little effort. The quality of meat speaks for itself. Go here. Makes a home cook look like a chef 5-stars! Call ahead for special requests. They are VERY accommodating and love a challenge BIG Smiles

Be advised, if you care about masks that none of the staff wear them here. that said, the quality of the actual meat is excellent. the display case is absolutely beautiful.
