Rubio's Coastal Grill - Monrovia

Rubios is a chill Mexican restaurant that has good burritos. After a long trip from Florida the manager was courteous and helped us with a fish burrito for us to.share. it was delicious.

The food here is decent, as is the atmosphere, but the prices have gone astronomical. After tax I paid $18.50 for a small bowl of food and regular sized drink. There's almost nobody in this Rubios when I come in and this is probably why.

Used to be my go-to place for bowls until they increased prices and decreased quantity/quality. Today I came in for a pick up order and the long hair (red hair? employee was extremely rude when I asked her a simple question. I cannot believe how they have people with zero customer service skills at the front. The other girl working at the time was nicer in her response.

Tried the new avocado taco salad with chicken and it was delicious.I am concerned about the business as we were there at 12:15 on a Saturday and we were the only ones there.I have always been a fan and hope that more people continue to enjoy their food!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for many style of eaters. Protein can be added or not.

Some paisanos might consider this gringoed but as a Mexican I vouch that it's way better than the stuff at the overrated new kid on the block! Taste is close to authentic and salsa bar is a belleza! Plus way better customer service!
