Butcher Block Deli - Monroe

Chop sreak was good, green beans ok for canned vegetables, mashed potstoes with gravey was not thst great. Tasted like cold instant potatoes.

Food was very good, employees were friendly and got the food to the table very quick

Had to think about this one for a couple of days. I experienced poor service and after talking with some locals, this is pretty much standard. However, we all agreed that the food is outstanding and is worth dealing with the poor service. The cooks are top notch and place a great deal of pride in what they are serving. The two girls serving are hard to rate in this current environment due to hiring difficulties and being in a small town. I still recommend eating here (make the service just another part of the overall experience) it is a great old time soda shop environment with something delicious for everyone. Oneof the better burgers I have had in a long time. The locals all bragged on the blue plate special (a meat with 2-3 sides) check this place out if you are on a day trip to Monroe Ga!

The food is more bland and nasty than uncooked tofu. It's a deli, and I didn't expect much in terms of flavor. But it's worst than any of my expectations. The sandwiches are dry, especially the chicken. And I don't know how, but even the salad is gross. I mean it's leaves with dressing. How can it be bad? The only good there is the cucumber salad, but the portion they give is tiny. I do not recommend.

Good food at good prices. Home time feeling. Service is ok at times. A lot of variety to order from.
