We were eating more often in this restaurant years ago, because the price was right. But as it goes, there are so many localities that we simply did not return there. When we came back there, we thought it would be a good idea,where on the 1st. Christmas day for us to book a table. To the restaurant I would like to say that it has a very good reputation in Schwafheim and its surroundings. It is also great, directly on a small forest and lake. There are plenty of parking spaces and yet the restaurant is always so well visited that it is difficult to get a parking lot. It has a very nice terrace overlooking the lake and the interior is more rustic but now back to our reservation. As my son spent the holidays with us in the short term, instead of the reservation already made, we used for 2 persons, not for 3 persons. That worked then, thank God. We had reserved for 6:00 and the restaurant was already full. We were led to our table and the operation took up our drinks and put the menus to us. Menue is always difficult with my son. He doesn't eat many things, but as mentioned, he wasn't actually planned. My son chose the Menue 2 It consisted of 3 courses and cost 28,50 Euro males and I chose Menue 4 , which consisted of 4 courses and cost 39,50 Euro. As a first step, my son got the wild cream soup in a small soup cup. She was very hot and tasted so good. Only the mushrooms he sorted out because he doesn't like mushrooms. Our first gang consisted of salad with scampis. He tasted very well. The salad was made with a raspberry vinaigrette.Salates were nothing special. Iceberg salad, frisee salad and a little small-cut tomato and on it the scampis.We had eaten up the plates and soup cups and brought our 2nd gear. Also the Wild Rahmsuppe. It was really good. Since we had a gang more than my son, he drank his beer in time and ordered another 2nd beer to the main dish. We hadn't finished our soup, we were cleansed again and our main dishes came. Please do not wonder,but it was really not a break between meals. We didn't even get to drink more than a glass of beer. My son had chicken breast with a nut sauce and croquets and broccoli. He tasted it. Männe and I are shadowing Atlantic sea tongue with potato gratin and broccoli. Disaster. First, not hot,but only warm.The fish died twice,the gratin consisted only of potatoes and cream, and the broccoli was also simply cooked to bite. It lacked spices and the portions were very clear. We assume that all the dishes were ready and just kept warm. Otherwise it is also impossible to serve the individual dishes as quickly as possible. As dessert, my son got a bullet vanilla ice cream, which was on a kind of plum compass. Vanilla ice was from Aldi, my son and plums don't like him. In addition, too much cinnamon was on the plums and for a compote, it was too liquid. I tried and didn't taste it either. The service offered my son immediately to bring him another Tiramisu. He refused because all the food was not the Bringer, so the Tiramisu will not be better. Men and I had white and dark mousses with fruit. The dark mousse tasted, but the white mousse was more like vanilla pudding. I'll save my comment on the fruit. By the way, the dessert, more than manageable. I made pictures, so you can see yourself. The best thing about the evening, which was very short in the restaurant,was the service. The young woman was really super nice,not smiling her eyes,she seemed really fun at her work. Yeah, we were very fond of her. Conclusion : We finished with a 4 gear menue within 45 minutes. The food was reminiscent of canteen and also overpriced for these mini ports. Too bad. We promised more. From a renowned restaurant, we have expected much more.
