Its on the beach this place, that is a positive. We went for lunch and most of the items were scratched off the menu. I ordered sardines. It was over grilled, cold and dry, we waited 45 minutes for it. We were the first ones in the restaurant that day for lunch. The service was slow, mostly tourists coming in, probably just once and not again. My husband had the fish espada, one piece was good, the other piece was not. When we walked out of the door, they scratched that also off the menu.

This was our favourite place to eat fresh ameijoas with sea view at sunset, so upon arrival we immediately went up there. But what a disappointment we got with the poor quality... This place is now off our list, which is a real pity...

We visited this restaurante many times over the years. Still the best place to eat sardines. Great location on top of the beach, sea view and relaxed environment. Strongly recommend it.

We have been visiting this restaurant for nearly ten years now and it has consistently lived up to expectations. This is a restaurant for fish lovers meat lovers and vegetarians might not be quite so impressed), it's dishes are simple but they always use exceptional quality ingredients; even the accompanying salad is made up of items that sing. And the fish...superb! The little fried fish for starters are incredible and also make an excellent lunch. The setting is also perfect: on the beach, facing the ever changing Atlantic in full view of the sunset. The service is friendly, helpful, very efficient and the restaurant is always spotless. There is an outside area which is particularly good for lunch times. Definitely my most favourite fish restaurant!
