Pub 42 - Minneapolis

Pub 42 is a pleasant spot for a good lunch. The dining room was closed (on a Monday) but the bar area was bright and comfortable. The menu is varied, though it lacks spicy fare. Each member of our party enjoyed his food order. The wait person was attentive, courteous, and efficient.

We went here spare of the moment as we were in the area. The place was packed so had to wait 15min for seating. Pace was super slow getting drinks and food. Didn't get our food till 40min into being there which was fine although food was not good. I ordered their Prime rib dinner medium rare. Picture added it was still raw..I'm a red meat kinda guy but can't do raw. It was also bland not much flavor at all. We didn't complain as couldn't drag it out any more since our plans were so delayed already. I recommend just getting a burger if you go here other dishes weren't good. I suggest they should get a new cook or monitor what's going out to customers closer.

Big selection, nice ambiance, waiter was friendly enough, but forgot the condiments requested the hamburger I ordered came done on the outside and completely pink raw on the inside. The waiter came and took it back the manager brought a new one and didn 't say one word to us just put the plate in front of me while proceeding to stand at our table and tell the waiter that the pork chops are out so I 'm 86ing them our waiter seemed embarrassed the guy did that right there and apologized which we told him it wasn 't his fault. The manager took 1 /2 the price of the burger off as it had 2 bites out of it before realizing it was raw inside. We tipped the waiter well regardless, as he didn 't cook the burger and he has to put up with that manager, which I can only imagine would be like punching YOURSELF in the head everytime you 'd have to speak to him. He was totally unequipped for the role of manager and very unprofessional, especially in a pretty nice restaurant setting.
