Shelby Forest General Store

This is the kind of place I love to review! Although they are operating with limited hours currently, it is well worth scheduling a trip to this unique and eclectic truly country store. Apparently, their cheeseburgers are famous. Their menu,for as small a venue as it is, is quite extensive. They carry an interesting collection of products from apple cider to breadand butter squash. Not sure who the gentleman was behind the counter but he was jovial and friendly. Mark this as a must seeplace.

I've travlelled a lot, but there is nothing like this place anywhere I've been! The owners are pure hearted, hard working, and very unique. The husband has an eccentric kind of sense of humor and the store itself is very well stocked with so many truelocal options. It's located just outside the Forest entrance so it can be a pit stop before to get any last minute things youmay have forgotten or a pit stop after to get some truly delicious food! I always get the po'boy shrimp sandwich with their ohso good seasoned fries. Their seating area is also very well shaded so even in the hottest of days, it's still feels nice. Wetry to go once a week to the forest and this stop makes it possible with 3 kids under 5 years old. The greeting we get alonemakes the long drive well worth it!

Shows one of the coolest little shops I've ever had. Doug and his wife are the sweetest couples and look like they've been running so much fun. the hours are limited, but it is sure to stop a tasty bite and experience this sweet little business with great food. one of the highlights of my long-distance journey! much love this place!

This is a place that stood the sand of time. I and a friend use to go there and eat every Sunday in summer. 20 years later, eating is very good and the people very friendly. They don't see much of them anymore. very recommend hamburger and the seasoned fries. even if they don't go camping or go to his yet praise the ride to lunch
