Deliciously smoked meat with great sides of sauce to choose from. Beautiful drive and area too. Great service.
A pleasant surprise on our way through Pennsylvania. It is about 4 miles off of I 80 but worth the 5 min ride off the highway. It shares space with a beer store called Roosters. Maybe it was a drive in burger joint at one point but now it has a small bar as soon as you walk in with 4 beers on tap and tables and booths. The back walls are glassed in beer displays for 6 12 packs to go. So the gentleman behind the bar is the bartender, the waiter, the cook and the cashier. It all worked out fine. A small but hearty menu, we opted for the buffalo wings (perfectly crisp juicy), the roast beef hoagie with au jus dip sauce great in house cut fries. Delicious glad we stopped in it looks modest from the outside but don't be put off much better than a chain restaurant off the highway.
Wow...what a gem. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and fries. The bun was grilled and nice and fresh, which is something that you don't find often (I hate a stale bun). The pork was big and meaty and not too stringy. The homemade sauce (sweet and tangy) was just right and applied when the meat was put on the grill to mix it up. This was great so as not to make the pork too soupy on the bun. The coleslaw was just perfect too...it was a nice mayo sweet and tangy base which is just like it should be. You should definitely give it a try!
Andy's On The Go closed years ago, it is now Red Rooster On The Go.
