Chicken Salad Chick - Midlothian

This restaurant is a wonderful dining option, but I had a frustrating experience trying to attend a job interview scheduled from 9:30 to 10 AM. I arrived on time only to find the restaurant closed and had to wait outside. I later learned that they didn't open until 10:30 AM. While I was waiting, I spoke with another person who was trying to deliver food supplies and needed the manager's signature. I called the manager to explain my situation, and she told me I should come back at 11. When I left, the delivery guy was still waiting outside as well.

I was feeling a bit hungry and decided to stop by this restaurant. Normally, I don't eat chicken salad because I don't know how to make it myself, but I was curious to give it a try. I found it hard to choose between the classic chicken salad and the BBQ version, so the staff generously offered me samples to help me decide. In the end, I chose the BBQ chicken salad, which came as a sandwich on toasted bread. It was absolutely delicious! I have no idea how they achieved such perfectly smooth toast—it felt almost magical! Overall, I had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend it. Next time, I plan to try the egg salad to see how it compares to my own homemade version. I'm excited to see how they measure up!

I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant since its opening, and it was truly exceptional in the beginning. Unfortunately, my last two visits have been quite disappointing. I had to interrupt a staff member just to get their attention after waiting 5 to 10 minutes, while others who arrived after me were served promptly. The quality of service has really declined, and it's left me feeling quite frustrated. When I asked for a receipt, the staff member was unable to provide one, which was shocking. I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with the owner or manager about this situation. It’s disheartening to see how rude and poor the service has become since the restaurant opened. This experience has definitely turned my family and me away. It's unfortunate that I would rather drive an hour for a meal than return to a place where I feel disrespected and undervalued.

Each meal comes with a choice of soup or salad, and you also get a delightful cookie. We would definitely recommend Chicken Salad Chick to our friends and family, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

My 10-year-old daughter really wanted to try this restaurant for dinner, and I was happily surprised by our experience. The place was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I was amazed at how tasty the food was! She ordered a scoop of Fruity Fran (I believe that's the name), while I went for a sandwich scoop combo. The food was outstanding, and we had plenty left to take home! We will definitely be coming back. This restaurant truly deserves a full 5-star rating!
