The Park Cafe - Midleton

Definitely would not recommend this place it you were in a hurry.. service was bad. Took 25mins for someone to take our order. Probably would of been longer only I went up and ask could some one take our order. Our starters came out and when we were finish it took 15mins before someone came and lifted the plates. Then we were ask have u orderd mains. Took over 20mins for the mains to come out. My husband food was sent back 3 times and then they got his order right. Manager came and said he was sorry would we like a drink on the house. Which we said no thanks. After being there for 2 half hours which the place was not busy at all would understand the wait if it was busy. We then went to pay for the bill and they knock 6.91 euro off the bill. Think it was a bit of a joke.. definitely won't be back here.

My husband and I stopped in because we were staying at the hotel and we’re being lazy and didn’t want to go out. That was a mistake. The food is awful, very basic and plain and Poor quality. Service was not that great and the restaurant had an odd smell. I know I’m being picky about the smell but it was enough that it bother us the whole time. I would not recommend coming here. Next time, I will not be so lazy and go to McDonald’s because that would’ve been better than the mail I received here. By the way, I do not enjoy McDonald’s that’s how bad the food was.

Ordered chicken supreme, it was cold when it arrived. partner had steak sandwich which was ok. ordered drinks , staff had to be reminded to bring them. after dinner had to ask staff to remove plates at least 20 minutes after we had finished, ordered a hot coffee and one dessert , hot coffee was placed on the table DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ONE YEAR OLD , luckily we grabbed it before she got a proper hold on it. compared to some of the other restaurants in midleton this place doesn’t event rate.

Lovely food, Great selection of dishes. Very friendly, attentive prompt staff. Nice atmosphere to relax in.

Ordered chicken wrapped in bacon with peppercorn sauce got chicken no bacon burnt veg and raw broccoli my sister ordered a salad with slaw and chips as she is a vegetarian had to ask for a plate as just put everything in front of her 23 euro was a birthday meal and a mighty letdown, won't be back
