Malt House - Midleton

This restaurant is a delightful place to enjoy a light meal. The ingredients are fresh, and the staff is both friendly and attentive. If you have any dietary restrictions, the chef is more than willing to create a custom dish just for you. We definitely plan on returning in the future.

Be sure to eat in the restaurant adjoining the distillery. Great seafood chowder and Irish Bread while sipping on your Jameson Scotch.

The food is as good as the Irish Whiskey. If you decide to have the Fish Chowder, ask about the sizes. The Starter is a large bowl with fresh bread on the side. The Entre version is a small pond with a fresh water shark swimming in it. It is really big.

Eat here even if you do the Distillery tour or not. Jameson has the best food (i have eaten here and in Dublin) by far. The seafood chowder was fantastic, so was the roast pork, pulled pork sandwich and the chicken pot pie. Everything was delicious and pipping hot. The drinks were exceptional, too.

We came to Midleton for a tour of the Jameson distillery, and wasn't too sure where to have lunch, so we chose to eat at the restaurant, which turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant is in a lovely setting a great place for lunch. The staff were very friendly also allowed us to try a couple of whiskeys which we could have on the tour. The food is really tasty reasonably priced. The seafood chowder the pulled pork was great, would recommend to anyone coming to the distillery.
