Hot Mess Burgers - Midland

Pretty good for middle of nowhere. Had the gladiator burger with a side of tots. The tots were a fantastic portion for the price.

Saw this place on google maps with some locals recommending. This location is about 20 minutes from Matthews and is a fun little drive. The location is on a corner of where two roads meet and not much else at the corner. Once you come near, you can't miss the big red container.The pricing on the food is a decent deal with today's price hikes. Thier signature burgers were reasonably priced with a family bag deal at a really good price.The Food. The burgers were good burgers but not signature. This place screams signature with its unique look and feel. The burgers were cooked rights and were flavorable. The fries were not very good unfortunatly and over cooked. Fries would have made a lot fo difference and were underwelming.The seating is all outdoors so plan ahead. No restrooms.Overall, definately worth a visit to check off the list of places to try and go.

The looks will certainly fool you because the food is very good. Price was reasonable and the flavor of the food was really good. I would certainly stop by anytime I am driving by. Ordering was easy and orders were correct.

After driving past this place for ages, and then happening to pick up an order as a delivery driver, I had extremely high expectations of this place. It smelled absolutely amazing each time they opened a window, and the menu looked amazing.I finally pulled the trigger and picked up some food for myself and, unfortunately, wasn 't impressed.The onion rings were delicious but I really expected a place called Hot Mess Burgers to have some seriously impressive burgers and, they were just ok. I ordered The OMG which is a double patty on donut buns. I expected it to be decadent. Ultimately, it was two 1/4 patties (yes, they were that thin, I am not exaggerating) with a little bit of cheese, and two slices of bacon between two halves of a glazed donut. Honestly, the best part was the donut. I guess I expected a roadside burger joint to have big juicy burgers, not burgers thinner than I get at McDonald 's. The people there were super nice but, I was ultimately just unimpressed.
