Midtown Taco - Middletown

My first time at Midtown Taco was excellent! Great service! Great food! Sadly, I cannot say the same for my return visit. I ordered the same meal as the first visit, hanger steak, except this time it was served with a plain baked potato instead of potato gratin, as advertised. When I asked I was simply told they ran out. Ok. That happens. The steak and brussels were still good. It took over 30 minutes to get drinks after asking 3 times. We also ordered tacos and I requested a kids quesadilla. I was told that I could order an adult quesadilla. I requested a kids size since I had already ordered a meal. I was then told they didn't have any quesadillas. So, not only do you have potatoes to serve baked, but no gratin potatoes, now you're telling me that you don't have tortillas and cheese? You disappoint me Midtown Taco!

I've never had a bad meal here or bad service. It's a nice change from the chain store restaurants around it.

My boyfriend and I tried this place this past Thursday and we had a great experience! Inside the feel is very cozy but quaint. It’s like a rustic vibe. The waitress was really nice and attentitive. The first picture is fried yucca. It had a pepper/garlic sauce and avocado creama. The slaw was also light and tangy. To our surprise it was a really big helping and ACTUAL yucca which was nice, not those store bought fry things. The tacos we ordered were beer battered fish tacos, pork belly, chicken and steak. They were all really fresh tasting and I would 100% recommend the steak. The chimichurri sauce was banging! For dessert we got the chocolate mousse cake. It was more like a brownie but it was nice and chocolately and the mousse on top was really good. Right before we left we left a different server was helping other customers and throughly explaining the menu. I mean this server was so patient, im not sure if I could have handled it was as much Grace as she did. All in all we will definitely be back!

First time there on a date and the server looked like Harry Potter. Or maybe he is. I don’t know. But he’s gotta be a wizard or something. Anyways the tacos were absolutely fantastic and the experience was even better. I can’t wait to go back. No for real tho…was it him?

We ordered take out and everything was so good! I had the cauliflower taco and the beet box. They were both really delicious and fresh. Love that they have gluten free and veg options clearly marked on the menu. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great when I came in to pick up our order. The cocktails looked delicious, too- We will definitely be back to try those! So excited to eat here again!
