Leña Al Fuego - Michigan City

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The authentic food was delicious and very affordable. I ordered two chicken tostadas piled high with toppings, along with chips, guacamole, and a Coke—all for just $10. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly friendly. You place your order at the window and then can grab a table; they bring your food to you. I’m really glad I decided to stop by!

I had never realized there was a Mexican restaurant on this side of the mall. I decided to try their two steak tacos, served Mexican style. They were reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I've sampled tacos from various places in Michigan City, but this one truly stands out. The service was quick and friendly, and the tortillas were soft while the steak was packed with flavor. My son remarked that each bite was deliciously different. I’ll definitely be returning for more!

I was feeling hungry and didn’t want a hotdog or to leave the mall, so I decided to give this restaurant a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything is made to order, and the steak pork tacos were excellent. My wife ordered a gigantic burrito, which she really enjoyed as well. The prices were reasonable, but keep in mind that everything is sold a la carte. Overall, I’d give the food a 5 out of 5!

There are no waiters, and you have to place your order at the window yourself. They mixed up our order, and as the guy was bringing food to another table, he shouted, “TALK TO ME, TALK TO ME!” I responded, “It's not my food.” He then delivered the tacos to the right table and remarked, “I guess people don’t talk.” Additionally, the food was overpriced for the quality. The meat was very fatty; I even took a picture of the excess fat in one of the tortas. The same man who brought us our food also told another family, “I did a good job, so you’re going to tip me, right?” That was just plain rude.

You serve amazing food, and you genuinely strive to make every day special. (My 9-year-old searched for your restaurant and wrote this review, and I completely agree with him. The food was delicious, and the staff treated us like family.)
