Contribuiți la feedbackJust had dinner at Zorns and what a disappointment it was. They were not very busy at all and the waitress was decent. But, the food, uh, no. We had the pretzel bite appetizer which was good, but the main courses of pizza and an italian beef sandwich were not. The pizza was not cooked correctly at all. The crust was doughy and just not cooked properly snd the sandwich was WAY too salty. I order fries with the sandwich for an extra $5 and they were good, but there weren't $5 worth of fries on my plate. Not even close...I am not even sure the fries were equal to 1 large potato. For the prices they charge, it was really low quality food. Like I said, the waitress was decent, but the food was overpriced and not very good at all. We left the pizza because it was so bad; it wasn't worth wasting a box to take it home. The 2/3's of a sandwich that I didn't eat I brought home. Needless to say, it'll be a long time before we ever return there for dinner and even longer before we ever recommend it to another person. We have been there and eaten there a few times previously and it was okay, not great mind you, just okay....but not tonight.
The beer was ok but I had one of there ciders wow that was good The bartender wasn't really friendly not sure if he was in a bad mood or he was shy The cheese curds were bad
Great atmosphere- inside and out. They have a huge outdoor area to hang out. Plus it's dog friendly!! The food and drinks were good. We really enjoyed their pizza, The Block. However service was pretty slow. There were several bartenders but the bar wasn't busy. There was only one server overseeing all the tables. You would have thought they would get from behind the bar and help out but they didn't. Plus the restroom was out of TP and soap. Hence only three stars for this place.
Pretty good and authentically historic alternative to the now over-commercialized railroad name-themed brewery in MiCity the dust from which I shook off my shoes after very unappreciative treatment. Zorn is less than five minutes away in the downtown historic district and is worth finding but hit the cash station first. This place was a nice discovery despite coming to and through this area for many years. Located in an old carriage house of the original Zorn brewery closed since the 1930s and reopened in 2015, it has a very inviting and warm warehouse district vibe. They also have quite a substantial outdoor venue and they host live music. The menu is on the slim side in terms of selection but adequate with pizza and handhelds being mainstays (they could use a good corned beef or pastrami offering . I tried the house burger which was cooked past medium how I asked but it was still quite good. It comes fully loaded with toppings that truly add to the experience; however, with only a bag of chips, it is overpriced at 14 bucks. Fries are--wait for it--5, yes, 5 bucks extra (you can close your mouth now. A side of slaw is another--it 's hard to say it--3 bucks!! So, for a mere 22 hard earned bucks you can have a decent burger with fries and slaw but no drink. C 'mon. Seriously? In MiCity? This was a disappointment, BUT, I do have to say the beer was a high point though and this offset some of the disappointment with the burger. They have a good selection of brews all toward the now typical Pilsner or IPA side with one very notable exception. Their Brownie Points Ale was just beautiful with the burger but would be outstanding on its own. I liked it so much I had them can up another quart to go but that was another 15 bucks (though getting a freshly poured/sealed big can is actually pretty cool, at 47 cents an ounce your looking at 34 bucks for a sixer of 12 oz. bottles--C 'mon...fool me once...No, I mean NO beer is that good. Anyway, for about 35 bucks including tip you can have a decent burger and a very good beer with decent service. This does not make me feel like Zorn will be a regular must go to but it will stay on as an alternative--it will just have to be closer to pay day--which means, like all of us, we 'll just hand over less of our hard earned pay.
We were staying in New Buffalo and drove the short distance down to try. There is a good selection of foods. The jalapeño poppers were really good with the sausage. We also got wings and the cheese curds. We finished with the s'more pizza-get this! The server was very attentive and made sure we had plenty to drink. There is a good variety of beer styles, so everyone should be happy. We went at lunch on a very hot day, but outside space looked really spacious.
